Welcome to the new and improved Reef Playground Inc. Blog. For those who remember and for the 1st time visitors; this is an “everything aquarium related” blog with a maintenance and upkeep pov. Our primary focus is to review, compare, and contrast aquarium maintenance and upkeep techniques. We’ll cover everything from standard freshwater community systems up to thousand gallon shark systems.  Our goals to make this hobby as easy and as enjoyable for the everyday aquarists and help newcomers become acquainted with all of the upkeep and routines that come with a successful aquarium. As with the original blog, we will review certain aquarium equipment, but we will generally stay away from reviewing say a hundred different protein skimmers for example…..because really, 99% of them are exactly the same thing and we have better things to do with our time ;p.

We were unable to save our original topic discussion from the old blog, so those will not be added here.  But! We will most likely redo them here, especially those on the topics of dealing with infections.

So bookmark us and check in regularly! Hopefully we can make this hobby a bit more enjoyable and help you solve some of those pesky and at times annoying aquarium problems we’ve all ran into.
